Danny Chen Gets Things Done!

Danny Chen, IBM

Danny Chen graduated from UT-Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1999. Before graduation, Danny worked within IBM Hardware for two years doing circuit/logic design and hardware integration. After graduation, Danny accepted a Software Engineer position within IBM Global Services (IGS).

Since IGS, Danny focused on e-business development, both Web and Client, where he explored new technologies such as web classes, both EJB and Java/XML, and pervasive computing protocols. During his "off" time, Danny has managed to file four/five patents successfully under the IBM umbrella and recently achieved IBM's 1st Plateau Invention Disclosure recognition.

Danny joined MIS Bridge initiative in Fall of 2000 because he wanted to continue his involvement with the UT business school after graduation. He is constantly amazed at the ideas and energetic team attitude of both faculty and students.

Danny's other hobbies include watching Longhorn football/basketball, playing basketball, and volunteering in the Austin community. There is no doubt that Danny Chen likes to roll-up his sleeves and get things done!
