What work brought you to your job today?

I interned with ConocoPhillips in the Enterprise Content Management group in Bartlesville, OK. I was also a TA for MIS 304 with Rick Byars for 4 semesters.

What do you do in your current job?

The New Hire program at ConocoPhillips consists of 3 different job rotations, two 6-month rotations and one 18-24-month rotation. I am currently in my first 6-month rotation working for our Commercial Marine group on a Metric Performance project. My group has developed key performance indicators for the Marine group and implemented them into an SAP database called Business Warehouse. My role is developing dashboards to display the new KPIs in a new Microsoft product called PerformancePoint.

What do you value from your MIS education?

I value most the project experiences, specifically the K project and the 374 Team Project.

What is your advice for current students?

Have faith in your technical abilities and enjoy your time at UT!
