What work brought you to your job today?
I started out at Dell as a college hire and have been here ever since. What attracted me to Dell is that they offer multiple career opportunities and paths.I have held roles in Corporate Finance, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Services.What do you do in your current job?
I am currently a Project Manager with the Data Center Solutions Team, helping customers optimize a hyper-scale computing environment (cloud computing). I manage projects on a global scale,facilitating the high velocity integration and deployment capabilities of Dell's volume server business.What do you value from your MIS education?
The ability to apply the knowledge gained from Mgmt 357 (Eleanor's class) has proven to be extremely helpful in all of the roles I have had at Dell. I also think the prestige of graduating from one of the top 3 MIS programs in the country has also helped open more doors for my career. Learning to work in team projects was also a good experience that helped me learn to deal with different team dynamics when working cross-functionally. Not everyone communicates the same!What is your advice for current students?
Don't be afraid to question processes, etc and learn to think outside of the box!
