What work brought you to your job today?
After working in the IT department at Neiman Marcus for 3 years doing application development and quality assurance, I worked for several consulting companies before starting a small practice in 1998. In 2004 I joined another boutique consulting company focused on delivering technical solutions in the financial services domain. That firm was acquired by SunGard Consulting Services in 2007.What do you do in your current job?
My current job includes doing new business development, project management, and hands-on delivery at client sites.What do you value from your MIS education?
The MIS program at UT presented opportunities to learn how to deal with adversity, solve problems, and focus on delivering no matter what challenges present themselves. Almost without fail, I re-live experiences from 333k and 374 with each new client.What is your advice for current students?
Understanding the "why" of what you're working on is just as important as the "how."
